Dr. Tatiana Ryklina, Chartered Counselling Psychologist and Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist
BSc, DPsych CPsychol(HPCP)
Accredited member of the Counselling Psychology Division, a special group of Coaching Psychology in the British Psychological Society (BPS)
I am an experienced psychologist, accredited by the BPS and the Health Professional Council (HPCP).
I believe that many people can benefit from counselling and coaching, depending on their needs and goals. My philosophy is based around a contextual approach that means there is no one perfect way to work with everyone. Therefore, I am committed to finding the best approach to meet your unique needs, your individual circumstances, and what brings you to therapy or coaching at this time. I provide psychological help in both English and Russian.
My integrative training embraces humanistic, psychodynamic, and CBT approaches in therapy. Drawing my work practice from a variety of theoretical perspectives gives me a broader spectrum from which to work therapeutically with my clients. I have gained a significant amount of work experience in different settings in the UK and abroad with charity organizations, MIND, hospices, and the NHS. These experiences have provided me with opportunities to work with diverse groups of individuals encompassing a wide range of psychological issues.
As a coach, I base my approach on Gestalt theory and embrace the relational stance that allows me to work effectively according to the individual circumstances.
Since 2012, I have run my own private practice in the City of London at which I adhere to the BPS Code of Ethics and Practice. I am committed to my professional development, and am in the process of completing the Supervision Skills Programme accredited by the BPS
